Take Me Home to Tahoe

Hi Friends,

The owner’s of this house wanted a bright, airy and expansive house overlooking Lake Tahoe’s Emerald Bay. Interior Designer, Lauren Nelson of Lauren Nelson Design and Architect Clare Walton designed a beautiful shingle-styled lakeside home. Clare designed a 26 ft. wall of windows in the living room…that is epic, bringing in tons of natural light and the showcasing the view of the lake, which is amazing. Lauren furnished the interior of the home with a mix of old and new, like the gorgeous vintage chandelier in the bathroom above a modern oval concrete bathtub, truly capturing the essence of what is old is new again. If you really look at each room, I noticed the simplicity of the pretty details…less is more, and quality over quantity…so in love with this house and I would love to spend an afternoon in the backyard just reading a book and gazing at the view.
