A modern lakeside vacation home was designed by NewHeritage in collaboration with Tays & Co Design Studios, located on Upper Gull Lake in Nisswa, Minnesota. This lake house is an escape and meeting place for the family, it boasts a separate space for their grown kids. Everything you desire for a summer home is included in this beautifully designed dream home.

My favorite space in this lake house is picture this: as you step into the heart of this home, you're welcomed by an airy open floor plan kitchen that seamlessly merges with the living space, offering breathtaking views of the serene lake just beyond. The kitchen boasts pristine white cabinets adorned with sleek, contrasting black hardware, adding a contemporary edge to the space.

The elegance continues with the open shelving, displaying carefully curated dishware and accented with touches of greenery that bring life to the room. These shelves not only serve as functional storage but also as an opportunity for decorative flair, showcasing a wet bar and open shelving that catch the eye against the a stone backdrop.

Above, the ceilings clad in warm, natural wood draw the gaze upward, adding a sense of rustic charm and coziness to the modern design. The wood's grain dances in the ambient light, creating a welcoming atmosphere that complements the openness of the floor plan.

Large windows frame the kitchen, offering panoramic views of the tranquil lake. The natural light floods the space during the day, illuminating the sleek countertops and the backsplash tile was sourced from Clé Tile. The plaster oven hood was custom designed and provides a beautiful focal point to this space., while in the evening, the sunset casts a warm, golden hue, painting the room with a serene ambiance.

A central island, topped with a pristine marble countertop, stands as the focal point, inviting gatherings and culinary creations. The island's design mirrors the chic contrast of the cabinetry, featuring a white base with sophisticated black accents, tying the whole aesthetic together. The kitchen boast a sleek neutral corner breakfast nook and cozy leather chairs to relax and read the morning paper, opening up to an amazing living room featuring a 24’ stone clad fireplace and floor to ceiling wall of windows.
