A Fresh and Modern Beach House

Today’s house tour is a summer beach house for a Manhattan-based family of five and is located in Amagansett, New York. From the outside of this dream summer house it looks like the classic cedar shingle-style exterior that the Hampton’s are popular for. But, when you open the front door of the house you are pleasantly surprised with a bright and sunny interior. The back of the house has a wall of floor-ceiling windows that brings in plenty of natural light and the interior of the house is stunningly dressed in a sophisticated modern vibe, but laid-back enough to keep it light and cozy.

An open-plan living area connects to a beautiful neutral gourmet kitchen. The kitchen features a white oak cabinets, a built-in breakfast nook, a marble-inset island and millwork. The interior designer, Flatiron Twenty Seven, designed a warm and fresh modern beach house by incorporating contemporary furniture, organic and warm textiles and a neutral color palette.
