House Tour-A Vineyard State of Mind
HI Friends,
Vintage Cape Cod style houses are iconic, but the interiors can be a little dated, low ceilings and darker interiors. When Hottenroth + Joseph Architects designed this house they stayed true to the charm of Cape-style houses, that so many people love. But, to achieve a house for today’s family, they brought this house into the 21st century, by adding larger windows which brings in plenty of light, a light and airy white interior, modern light fixtures, an an open-floor plan. I absolutely love this Vineyard summer home, it’s a beautiful updated cozy summer cottage. Thank you again for stopping by and I hope you were inspired today:) Until next time,

Sitting Room
As I look at this pretty sitting room I am transcended back in time, it reminds me of the 1800’s when the family would be sitting around the fireplace waiting for “Dad” to come home from a day at sea.
Breakfast Nook
This breakfast nook is coastal cottage style perfection. A yellow and green roman shade hangs from a window over a white built-in bench adorned with a beige seat cushion topped with pretty green and patterned pillows. The bench sits at a farmhouse table and blue wooden chairs.
Open-Floor Plan Kitchen
Amazing kitchen with gray and white tone on tone painted diamond pattern floors, white kitchen cabinets and a butcher block topped island.

A pretty sun room features a white built-in window seat adorned with a blue patterned seat cushion topped with a variety of pillows in shades of blue, surrounded by a vintage table and wooden dining room chairs.
Coastal Powder Room
A coastal powder room features a one-of-a-kind shell mirror which hangs from a wall clad in white beadboard. flanked by a black metal sconce topped with a dainty white shade which illuminates a warm light. Beneath the mirror, is a marble top sink vanity with nickel legs.
Cottage-Style Bedroom
This coastal bedroom features twin white metal beds dressed with a white and red quilt and adorned with blue and white pillows.
