A Labor of Love in Castine, Maine

I originally saw this house in Country Living Magazine, and I had to see more of it. I did some research and discovered the owner of the house is Loi Thai, owner of interior design firm Tone on Tone. Loi and his partner Thom Troeschel longed for a summer home within driving distance of their main residence in Baltimore, Maryland., plus they definitely wanted to find a summer home in a charming coastal town with a cooler than the Washington D.C’s . summer heat. They reached all requirements when they stumbled upon the scenic town of Castine, Maine and they immediately fell in love with the small coastal town. They found an old house that needed major TLC, situated on a gorgeous piece of property, overlooking the bay. After a lot of hard work they designed the perfect Maine summer home, a blueprint for all of you to create a seaside dream cottage. Until next time.
