Beach Pretty Fit: Strength Training Has so Many Health Benefits
My daughter and I have always exercised, because we love it. We enjoy playing tennis, cycling, anything to do with water sports, skiing, and running. The past few years I have become aware I was missing strength training from fitness routine. My daughter has been weight training longer than me, and she started to explain the benefits of weight training for every age, and how essential it is for everyone. I have always been afraid that strength training would make me bulky, but actually if you do strength training correctly it just keep your body fit, healthy and tone. No one wakes up everyday and says please let me go sweat, and physically push myself the the limit, but once you are done, your brain is saying yes!!! That is why exercising is so addictive, it makes us feel so great!
Strength Training Has so Many Health Benefits
Strength training has a bad wrap that it is only for body builders or for the cross fit crew, which truly is a full time gig, but if you are just looking to get fit, strength training has so many benefits. Strength training helps you maintain better balance, helps boost your metabolism, loose weight and strengthen your bones.
Working out with your friends can be so much fun and it creates a great bonding experience. It is so nice when you can share your fitness goals with your friends. Statistics say that a lot of people need a little push and accountability to stay committed to their fitness program.
Weight training burns more calories than cardio fitness. I love how it increases my stability and balance. As I age, I feel so strong in a feminine way.
Most Doctors truly believe that working out everyday helps relieve depression, improves sleep and improves you overall life satisfaction...you can thank the release of endorphins, which is the chemical your brain releases when you workout..and the benefit is a definite euphoria...addictive!
Exercise is also wellness prevention, it helps to build muscle, prevent injury and keep you limber and healthy.
