Light and Airy Designer Nurseries

Today, Beach Pretty features the delightful baby rooms designed by Mandarina Studio.  Amanda Reid founded Boston-based Mandarina Studio to create an interior design business built on creativity and collaboration. Amanda says "one of her favorite projects to take on is the design of a nursery. It’s such a delight and an exciting challenge to envision and create a fun, yet cozy space for an infant that a child can also grow into to the toddler years and beyond." 

When Amanda designs a nursery, she says, "it’s not a about a theme, but about a child and his or her family. Often that takes the shape of focusing on a favorite color or an inspiration piece like a quilt made by a family member or, if I’m designing a room for a child who’s a bit older, I’ll take inspiration from a favorite hobby."

A key for Amanda's designs is that Nurseries also have to be functional and parent-friendly places, too.  Mandarina Studio always make storage a key element in children’s rooms. Keeping clutter under control and making organization easy drive a lot of elements when it comes to spaces for children.
